I'm obsessed with all things Alice (Coltrane) and this coffee scrub pays homage to her. Strong, spicy, sweet, softening. Cacao makes this blend the most beautiful brown while fresh ground coffee buffs dry skin away. Oh, cane sugar helps to exfoliate your bits as well! This is a lightly foaming, mocha cardamom coffee scented, gently exfoliating dream come true. Caffeine extract helps to tone and tighten while sweet almond oil lightly moisturizes. I love coffee scrubs but always found them too messy or dry. This glides on smoothly and leaves less of a mess. I love pumpkin spice smell but this aroma is her grown up, enlightened sister. Smooth out your skin. (And give my goddess Alice Coltrane a listen!)

Key plant based ingredients...

Coffee: Coffee scrub has several benefits that include: exfoliating and anti-inflammatory properties, temporary reduction of cellulite, improved circulation, and smooth skin.

Cacao Powder: High in antioxidants Cacao blocks harmful free radicals in the body. Cacao has good amount of vitamin C and magnesium, which helps in protecting the skin and keeping it healthy. Cacao contains omega 6 fatty acids, which helps in cellular healing.

Cardamom: Cardamom has been shown to improve circulation due to vitamin C. It also contains antioxidants and infection fighting properties that can increase the recovery time of dark spots and blemishes.

Cane Sugar: Sugar is a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the environment into the skin. So when you apply products with sugar or sugar derivatives, they’ll actually help hydrate your skin and keep moisture within. Sugar is a natural source of glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that penetrates the skin and breaks down the “glue” that bonds skin cells, encouraging cell turnover and generating fresher, younger-looking skin. Glycolic acid is typically used to treat sun-damaged and aging skin.

Sweet Almond Oil: Sweet almond oil is used to clean out pores and add moisture to the skin.

Caffeine Extract: Coffea arabica seed oil and Coffea robusta seed extract (which contains chlorogenic acid and caffeine) defend against photoaging and support the skin’s structure to restore moisture and hydration for the appearance of brighter and firmer youthful-looking skin.

Additional ingredients:

Glycerin, Water, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sorbitol, Propylene Glycol, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Stearic Acid, Sodium Chloride, Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.

This is a traditional bath & body product, fortified with the power of plants. This contains a preservative but lasts longer if you avoid introducing water to the tub with your hands or storing it directly in the line of the shower head. A plastic spoon makes a perfect scoop!

This listing is for (1) 8 ounce shower safe plastic tub of Alice Coffee Scrub. Even though the actual product weighs more than 8 ounces I am standardizing all of the measurements according to container size. * The current batch looks a little lighter brown since I whipped it more but trust it is still the same formula! New label design, same amazing product!
